Terms of sale
The terms for aurora tours booked through FoxAurora.
1. Seller
Tours sold in FoxAurora are organised and sold by Host It Oy (trading as Book Lapland), business ID 3363423-7, Rovakatu 29 lh. 2, 96200 Rovaniemi, Finland, sales@booklapland.fi, +358 40 724 0600.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are in euros and include VAT and all taxes and fees. The price is confirmed in the booking summary before payment. Booking and payment are made in our booking system Bókun; payment is taken in full at booking with the payment methods shown at checkout.
3. Booking confirmation
The contract is formed when the payment has succeeded and you receive a booking confirmation by email. If a booking cannot be confirmed after payment (for example the last seats were sold at the same moment), the payment is refunded in full automatically.
4. Cancellations by you
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the departure time – you get a full refund. Cancellations later than 24 hours before departure and no-shows are not refunded. Tours booked for a specific date are leisure services, so the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act does not apply. To cancel, contact sales@booklapland.fi.
5. Aurora guarantee
[To be confirmed by Book Lapland:] If the northern lights are not seen or photographed during a guaranteed tour, you can choose a full refund of the tour price or join another tour free of charge, subject to availability. Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days.
6. Changes and cancellations by us
The guides choose the route and timing based on weather and safety. We may cancel a tour because of dangerous conditions or force majeure; you then get a full refund or a new date. Exact pickup times are confirmed on the day of the tour.
7. Your responsibilities
Please be ready at the pickup point on time, follow the guide’s safety instructions and tell us about health conditions or special needs when booking. Warm clothing is provided as described for each tour. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
8. Complaints
Please contact us first at sales@booklapland.fi. Consumers may also take a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Services. Finnish law applies.
